“I LOVED this!!! I can’t believe how you packed in so much inspiration in such a short time, not to mention giving us a way to do it. The road map.
I have always heard to visualize. I have tried it so many times. When I do it, I can’t help but think, “How am I going to GET there???” To go from almost broke to 6 figures feels overwhelming and impossible. So, to visualize 6 figures and pretend it’s already in my life... well of course my body and mind is arguing with me the whole time. It feels uphill. It feels impossible. It feels negative because it feels like a pipe dream. It feels like I’m at the bottom of a huge mountain, wondering how I’m going to have it in me to make it to the top.
When we are at the bottom looking up, things always look bigger than they are. More ominous. More impossible. More work. Farther away. Overwhelming. That first step is mental and it’s near impossible to get the mind to move the foot. That first step takes everything we’ve got to overcome, “you can’t do that,” to “take the first step and at least try.”
Well, instead of that perspective, you just put us at the top of the mountain, looking down. Sitting on our throne and revisiting all we’ve already accomplished. This removes the “how am I ever going to do this,” (which is ALWAYS at the back of my mind even when I try to ignore it)... and shift the focus to, “look where I’m at having accomplished all I want.”
So, it takes the HOW out of the equation. It’s basic childhood imaginative daydreaming. THANK YOU DEAN! I did this exercise with you during the podcast, and I’m going to read what I wrote every day. Much love to you. Keep on inspiring others!!!”
