“I relate to Chelsea’s story, finding music, desire to play in a band, and all the awkwardness and anxiety of the teen years. I’m also a New Englander and was a big Siamese Dream fan, but older. I graduated high school the year it was released. I remember a bass player friend giving me a copy of Gish on cassette at a jam in 92’ and liking it. They lost me with melancholy though. I was the biggest Sonic Youth fan in the world! I still like to be invisible sometimes and still find joy and peace when I get to play my guitar really loud and forget about everything. She does a really good job describing feelings that those of us quiet music dorks have a hard time with.”
