Becoming immersed in the exquisitely haunting world of Nadia this season provided a cathartic release from my own life and a nostalgic portal into my youth. I was transported to the past while gleaning gems of truth that synchronistically related to my present. Nadia’s story pulled me out of a...Read full review »

I’ve listened to all three seasons and am looking forward to the fourth. I really enjoy the stories. More importantly, it’s really prompted me to reflect on my own life and imagine speaking to my younger, mixed-up self. I have more empathy & understanding for who I was and also who I’ve become.

I love this podcast. Chelsea's storytelling is entertaining and her advice for her younger self (and us listeners) is insightful. I'm a sucker for a coming-of-age story, and this one is very well told! The later episodes from other rockers have been fun to hear, too. Check out Mia...Read full review »

Like a great song, this got under my skin in the best way. I laughed, I cried, I cheered. Incredible writing, so much heart and offers such rich descriptions of growing up with (and because of) music - never heard or read anything so captivating and detailed about the whole life context,...Read full review »

Its strange how you can feel a connection to someone so different from you but in some ways the same. I am a 47 year old Harley riding guy who marred early, joined the Army, had kids and grand kids but still felt a kinship and connection to the girl the first seasons. I did dabble in garage bands...Read full review »

A great narration of her adult self rooting on her younger self through her life as a musician. She brings me back to my day in the music scene that she was inspired by. Also onsite full of what it’s like being a female in the scene. Helped me see things from a different view. Excellent work!
Montepotumas via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/11/20
She is a really great story teller and it brings up my own memories of growing up, even though I wasn’t a musician.

I love the way she tells her story in a retrospective and self aware way. You get all of the emotions from when she lived it and also good insight into your own life. Overall very raw and beautiful and relatable.

Beautifully written and recorded. This podcast helped me make sense of a lot of my own past, but was also just entertaining AF. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll grow. Trust me, you’ve got to listen to this one.

The honest and at times raw view into Chelsea Ursin’s - Dear Young Rocker life is not solely for the occasional or avid musician. Chelsea makes herself vulnerable to reach out to anyone who has ever felt awkward. At times you will not be sure if your tears are from her hilarious tongue-in-cheek...Read full review »

As middle aged guy I enjoyed this. While I don’t play music many of my friends do (and some family members too). I’ve always felt out of place expect when at a live show. Something calming about it. It’s fun/healthy/enlightening to see the other side through Chelsea’s experiences

Dear Young Rocker. You have made my life richer. I found this podcast through Disgraceland and I’m really glad I did. If you were ever a teenager who felt like you didn’t fit in (and let’s face, that’s probably most of us to some degree), you’re going to love this show.

DYR is one of my favorite podcasts to listen two. Both seasons are so incredibly relatable. As a 30 something former young rocker myself I felt like at some points it was my story she was telling. I can’t wait for S3!
