So acutely relatable.
If music has been your guiding light through the petrifying world of people in your life, this podcast is EXACTLY for you! What Chelsea has discovered about herself and about people has truly come as a paradigm shift for her life, so much so that she wants as many struggling young music lovers as she can reach, and really anyone struggling with self worth and social anxiety, to learn what she has learned and gain a healthy, enriching perspective on their place in the world. Personally, I was amazed that someone has had, and still has, such a similar type of close relationship with music that I've had. When I was in high school, I saw drumming as my "salvation from the social world". I couldn't get enough of it! But that relationship with it has been a complex one, with my engagement waxing and wanning over the years but my love for it always alive. Chelsea knows this kind of relationship with music. She also knows the restricting force that social anxiety can have in a person's life. Through educating herself and through much reflection of her experiences, she has found principles that I think many people could benefit from. Furthermore, what I love about the writing and character development is that she knows how to express and integrate the internal complexity of her younger self as an additional layer of depth and meaning underneath the recounting of her life's story. It's all just too good.Read full review »
