A bit uneven but generally a good listen
Have been listening to S2 as the episodes come out - the schedule has been erratic and some episodes were fillers. So it’s a bit meandering with some eps being much better than others. I’m currently listening to S1 - Kevin seems quite biased against the police and never substantiates it. It just seems dumb to point to their suspicions of the parents’ involvement as something reckless or unusual. Of course they would?? The parents are the most likely suspects in any case of unexplained child injuries. He also leans on how wholesome and stand-up the parents are while not questioning the rather greedy lawsuits they launch to profit off the tragedy. And the mom does sound a bit looney and fake at times. I don’t believe she’s guilty of anything apart from opting for cheaper daycare with an unlicensed provider and trying to cash in with lawsuits, but let’s not pretend there were no grounds for the police to take a hard look at her. Kevin is also hilariously obsessed with the mom’s “wild curls.” Settle down, man. And he clucks about warrants being too reliant on “hearsay,” while not holding his own investigation to that standard.

Did this happen in London, England? Not one single person has a British accent. Confusing.
