I wish there were new episodes…there is a podcast with a similar format but this one much better.

It’s a great show I love it so very much but please make one about Juice WRLD

Please update your podcast on Whitney Houston. Several key people were left out. The autopsy report was left out. Information about Krissy is left out. Please do your research before assuming what you know to be true is true. It is sad that so many people are profiting off of the death of the...Read full review »

Learned things I didn’t know, remembered things forgotten. The voices don’t overpower the story yet fit right in. So hope they do more

Wow what an awful podcast. I listened to the episode about Keith Moon, that basically declared him the greatest of all time, which is garbage. It also stated Keith was the key to The Who. Aaa maybe Pete is the one responsible for 99% of their music? And then Bonn Scot. Give me a break calling him...Read full review »

I have to say you have to be in the mood for a podcast about your first love dying. Mine was Marc Bolan. I adored him. This podcast is so well delivered. The research, the writing and then the speakers - marvellous. I have just listened to Death of Bon Scoot, what a great one to start on, if...Read full review »

These are so well read and just long enough. I love my music so like hearing these back stories. But please, whoever puts these together - do something with the sound levels. They are all over the place. Some places, it’s really quiet, so you turn it up then the main podcast kicks in and it’s...Read full review »

Different takes on lives you might know about. How they lived, where they came from how events lead to their often tragic deaths

Love the show. Keith Flint episode in particular. Keep it up !!!

No music rights and a reverential approach to all of the artists without critical comment or analysis. Sounds like a news of the world journalist writing for a very low IQ audience. Awful.

I just recently came across your podcast and I’m hooked. So much interesting information and it’s good to hear the stories about the end of their lives. I really hope you can do an episode on Sam Cookes murder mystery and Scott Weiland also

A nice style of story telling but not enough detail. Describing the death of someone should take more than the half hour or so that these episodes take.

Love love your podcast. Would love to hear you tell Scott Weilands story ❤️

A lovely, dreamily read podcast, maybe read a bit slow at times, feels like they're trying to string it out a bit. Not too many adverts, and great information makes this a MUST listen. SUBSCRIBE!!!!!!! xRead full review »

Was enjoying the episodes up to the Elvis one when they quoted his place of birth as Tulsa (Tupelo) and 1938 (1935)

Love the show (as well as the other Death Of A series) but no new shows for a while. Come back!!

Overall I like this podcast. The podcasts are well produced, and I like the narrative nature of them, rather than just a historical discussion of the facts of each rock star’s life and death. They are also a nice compact 30 minutes each. My main quibble is with the Buddy Holly episode, the one...Read full review »

You may think you’ve heard Jake Brennan/Disgraceland tell some of the same stories in a similar format; and yes, you probably have. But there are some truly unique gems here you won’t want to miss. There are different resources and different approaches to tell a unique side to stories. The...Read full review »

I listen to a lot of Pods and the series of Death of a Rock Star and Death of a Sports Star are in my opinion of the very highest quality. The length, content and delivery are top end. Well done to all involved and please keep telling these stories. Ady Woolley

Look the tones, writing and wit in these telling tales of lost and appreciation of the impact these people have left on our lives with their music and lives.

Really enjoyed most of these episode except the John Lennon episode. I thought it was a bit in poor taste. I realise that the podcast is literally called Death of a Rockstar so maybe I should have seen it coming 😂! Every other episode is great but there was something about this particular episode...Read full review »

Sounds good in the beginning, then all facts are twisted, luring people into lies using dramatic voice.

Absolutely wonderful stories of musicians, their turmoil and often tragic lives and their leaving from this earth. Beautifully written ,beautifully told narration.

A fascinating portrait of rock stars we all know, but after listening, realize we didn’t. Have binged all the episodes and can’t wait for the next ones!

One of my top three discoveries of the lockdowns. Well created and always thought provoking. Easy to listen too as so well read. My only niggle is the interruptions of the ad break, but I won’t mark it down as if there were none we probably wouldn’t have the episodes to listen to. My other...Read full review »

How can you tell the story of an artist without including any of their music? The story becomes a monologue with no sense of context or the character of the artist. Just wrong.
Donkeyman3 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/22/20
Just a regurgitation of what we already know. That’s not surprising of course. But the production - corny audio propping up banal platitudes. That’s what grates. For tabloid readers.
Rosa bug via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/08/20
I love the content but I just can’t stomach the narration. It’s like they’re reading a bedtime story, it’s such a shame but it makes me cringe.

I have loved all these episodes. They are beautifully written and presented- celebration and sadness. But Keith Flint - wow. Took me back to a great time. Loved The Prodigy but didn’t know the half of it. Recommended.
