Captivating but needs more disclaimers/info
This is a captivating story, coming from someone who was not born until the 90s. That being said, I feel that at the end of the episode, resources and info should be provided regarding domestic and financial abuse. The CBS podcast series “Cold” about Susan Powell has a great example. The two men, Josh Powell and Paul Snider, are identical in their forms of abuse. Verbal and emotional abuse, along with financial abuse and using their spouses for money and nothing else and using manipulation tactics to do it. This series in effect is a form of entertainment sadly but more should be done to use it as an education and awareness platform as well. Women are socialized to believe that domestic abuse only comes in the form of physical/sexual assault but it can take other non-violent forms and and cases such as this, still may end in death and are just as dangerous. Beyond that suggestion, this series does an excellent job of relating you to each individual in the story and their role and intent. I found myself deeply saddened that Paul took Dorothy from us especially as such a young age. I wish I could’ve seen more of her work!

The two go together like Pb&j. Really great story that digs into multiple toxic relationships that shaped Dorothy’s life... and death. If you liked dirty John you’ll probably enjoy this too.
