Great Subject Awful Retelling
I was in high school when Dorothy was murdered, and I remember the story by Vincent Canby in the NYT titled Star 80, that spawned the movie with Eric Roberts and was stunned by the gruesome details and the sheer volume of people who failed her at every turn; so I felt this podcast would be a natural fit. And maybe it would have been but this third person narrative with two people poorly attempting to do the voices is just unbearable. You’re not voice actors- just tell a compelling story and leave it at that. If you can’t get the actual people on record, then stop copying someone else’s work and dressing it up as your own.

Josh Lucas is captivating and smooth as a host and storyteller. The female host is not. They don’t go together well.
