Superbly addictive
The format of Decoding the Unknown (along with its sister podcast The Casual Criminalist) is a breath of fresh air. The presenter reads the script for the first time live as a cold read, which allows for him to experience the episode content along with the listener at the same time. His penchant for going off track is charming and for me now is part of the appeal. The research and writing is excellent, and by regularly using a limited selection of the same authors, they know the content and the presenter’s reaction to previous episodes and can refer back to them. I usually skip episodes of cases I know well, but not with this podcast. Unlike other single presenter podcasts it is not just a voice reading a text. This format allows for a conversation of sorts without the annoyance of people talking over each other. I only discovered this podcast about a year ago and after dipping in here and there for the episodes that piqued my interest I have now binged the lot from start to finish, along with the similarly formatted Casual Criminalist. Every time I check my podcast feed now I am really only hoping to see a new one of these. Easily my top two favourite podcasts now.

Your voice and presentation style are great, your sense of humour is bang on, and the topics you choose are always interesting. Genuinely the best podcasts and YouTube vids out.
