Poorly written and sourced
The first time I heard “In his novel...” and then a description of a scene, I thought it was odd for a true crime podcast to be using fiction to set the scene. When it kept happening, I turned it off. Even if you’re signaling that the novelization may have overstated details or whatever, it’s deceptive at best.
