Kase has been a staple figure in the Sydney culture scene for over 10 years, helping establish numerous fashion brands and boutiques such as Capsule. Kase has also just released an amazing project “Minerva”, a product of his time in isolation this year due to COVID as well as some of his influences.

As the Content Director for Triple J, Ollie has played a pivotal role in programming one of Australia’s largest radio platforms and fostering local talent. Ollie is also the creator of the podcast “Unravel True Crime: Snowball” a podcast which documents his journey around the world trying to find the conwoman who exploited his brother.

This week in the Den, we have the Senior editor for Spotify Australia, Peter Stevens. Peter has played a major role in artist development and promotion as the Senior editor for the Spotify playlists. With a focus on domestic artists Peter has helped many artists break into different genres and countries all while staying humble and a student of the craft.

This week in the Den, we have the homie Blessed .Blessed has been involved in the Australian music industry for over 10years morphing and transforming into the artist he’s now. We had a great chat about the early African-Australian jerking wave, mental health within African communities, his early music influences, growth as an artist, early music journey and future projects. 

This week in the Den, we have the Managing Director of AndpeopleAU Andrew McDade. Andpeople have been a staple in youth creativity engagement in Australia partnering with many of our favourite brands including JD Sports. Andrew and myself had a great discussion on the importance of brands in cultural change, the importance of commercialising your art for longevity, the journey of entrepreneurship as well as his background and experiences.

This week in the Den, we have the rising music collective OTG. OTG is a collective of artists including KZ, CV, JAY6, CRZYCAM & RENZI. Hailing from Southwest Sydney OTG have been able to showcase their creativity and business savvy within a small period of time. We had a great discussion about their music influences, growing up in Western Sydney, CS1 & 2, upcoming music as well as the founders and business structure of the collective.

In light of the events which have occurred in the last few weeks, Blessing and I caught up to talk about mental health, systematic racism in Australia and some practical strategies people can implement to be an ally.

Yasmin is the founder and director of Sydney-based creative agency Culture Machine.  We had a great conversation about self awareness, art vs business, the importance of creating value based content as well as artistry pre and post COVID.
