“I absolutely love Desert Island Discs! I swim while listening with my waterproof ipod and custom made headphones and the time speeds by. It is the perfect mix of biography and music. I have listened to many of the archived episodes but Kirsty Young is my favourite so far. I really miss her so hope she will come back. I have to reluctantly say that the new presenter Laura Laverne is very boring and wooden as a presenter whereas Kirsty was lively, made a wonderful connection to her guests and was able to probe quite personal matters in a non intrusive way! I recommend it to everyone!”
