“Lauren Laverne is an incredibly talented broadcaster and communicator but I agree with other reviewers that she is not the right person for this programme. The interviews tend to feel hasty and like the castaway is being rushed on to their next piece of music. It lacks spaciousness now and feels like just another podcast format rather than a flagship programme. Goodness knows how previous presenters managed to create such a sense of space - it’s clearly a real challenge.”
