“I can’t tell what year this was made, but the story really should have been told by a woman. This narrator is all over the place with random story bits about the detectives life.
TMI about the detective trying to get pregnant and other random bits about the detectives struggle as a female. It seems like the storyteller couldn’t decide if the story was about how hard it is to be a female detective, or the missing women the detective is tracking down.
The result is that the narrative goes everywhere at once, and every episode is padded by tons of random detective background. And several women’s stories are mansplained by some dude.
The narrator is a great storyteller, but this was way too padded and the wrong story for them.”
