Enjoyable but can get boring
It is fascinating to here about the early lives of these dictators, but the delivery from the hosts is so robotic it’s painful. It would also be nice to see them bring real historians on to say their views. I don’t think that what people are saying about this being a leftist podcast is true, but when talking about such sensitive topics, it is best to try and be careful with what you say. All of these dictators are responsible for the deaths of many, so trying to explain why they did it by using the term “toxic masculinity” is basically asking for people to get mad. Other than that, it is a great podcast and I would definitely recommend.

A podcast about dictators is a great idea, what a shame that a big chunk of the first episode is devoted to insisting that Mussolini's fascism was due to aggressive masculinity. It seems a bit simplistic don't you think? Maybe stick to the storytelling.Read full review »
