Two AN Episodes in a row this time! Normal coverage will resume shortly later this month.  Due to a complete lack of anything unusually horrible or interesting happening in the world (that we know of), we decided instead to talk about something we knew we'd like: The hit sitcom Peep Show. Ancient Greek philosophy comes up almost immediately, so listen in if you like two people overintellectualising some TV.  This month's full episode will be about Slajov Zizek, everything else TBD....

Sorry for once again for the lateness of this episode - we'll hopefully be back on track soon.  For this episode we talk about the G7 summit and the idiosyncrasies of world leader diplomacy, and why G7 is a great example of the hollowness of the notion of a 'rules-based' international order.  Enjoy!

A bit of a spicy (and very late) one this month! This month, Chuck and Vi discuss Herman and Chomsky's book Manufacturing Consent, and how it sheds light on the ongoing Israeli occupation of Palestine.  We also talk about ghostwriting.  Apoligies for the audio issues in this episode, we just wanted to get it done and out. We'll do our best to resume the normal schedule after this, so expect an Ad Nauseum episode soon-ish.

Chuck and Octavia chat about the putative upcoming ban on gay and trans conversion therapy and how the government seems more commited to protecting the rights of bigots than actually improving any gay or trans people's lives.  Support the show by telling all your friends, following us on twitter @discopod1, or signing up for our Patreon at patreon.com/discopod.

It's finally here folks! The much-belated episode we've been trying to make more or less since the start of the pod. Today Chuck and Octavia discuss Baudrillard, Brexit, and Basquiat- inc. why a big red bus won the referendum, how (if at all) you do anything without it serving capital, and how we're already living in the post-apocalypse.  Support us on Patreon at patreon.com/discopod- every bit helps support the show and keep it sustainable!  Follow us on twitter @discopod1

Once again, the Baudrillard episode proves impossible to make. This month's episode is a particularly angry one on the draconian policing bill currently making its way through parliament, and nominally also about JS Mill's book On Liberty and Oscar...

As promised, here is the first mini-episode in a sub-series we've tentatively named Disco Inferno Ad Nauseum. Today Chuck and Vi ask themselves what's up with resignations, covering political drama between Scottish politicians, Jeff Bezos, and why the...

We talk about Gandhi's Home Rule, colonialism, violence, and why every government building is trying to look like the Parthenon.  We're hoping to have a more freeform mini-episode out halfway through March in addition to March's episode, so stay tuned!...

Chuck and Toby discuss Ayn Rand and Objectivism, vaccines, the moral limits of individualism, and why Victor Frankenstein is a really s****y Randian superman.
