Show sets it’s self apart in its quality and wit. The satire is also good and does good job on not taking to one side heavily

Dispatch from the desert planet sets its self apart from the mundane genre of fantasy radio podcasts with its unique and creative storytelling. You’ll easily get sucked in to the world Morgan has created, and find yourself binge listening before you know it.

This is a fantastic way to bring real world events into a fictional universe, with a splash of entertaining fun!

A fresh, often satirical take on reporting current events through a sci-fi lens (the sports interview from ep. 1 had me giggling). Listening to J. June’s radio dispatches makes me feel like I really am tuning in to a small, rebellious (fully-compliant) intergalactic radio station. Likely because...Read full review »

Not a big sci fi person generally, but I am so enjoying this podcast. It’s therapeutic in a way, commenting on the state of the world while also allowing listeners to laugh and distract ourselves from the exhausting reality of life on Earth. Keep up the great show x

Definitely a little unsettling at times given the proximity to reality but also super creative, refreshing, entertaining and smile inducing. Can’t wait for more!

I’m not usually much of a podcast listener but this one has me intrigued! It gives me a good unsettled feeling that makes me want to keep listening to learn more about the desert planet. Also, the podcast title is so catchy!

Unlike any podcast you’ve listened to before, but in a good way. An escape from the cognitive dissonance of consuming media created pre-COVID and pre-our recent mass awakening to social justice. A must-listen.

Morgan is a refreshing voice breaking into sci-fi with a biting sense of humor and a developing retro-futurist rebel aesthetic.

This is a really wonderful podcast that makes you feel like the actual world isn’t imploding... just a fake one from far far away. At least for 10 minutes. More more more!

From the fictional-yet-nervously-relatable setting to the slightly sassy, slightly tense radio host character, you fluidly and effortlessly paint a vivid picture of what this world FEELS like. I’m curious to learn more about this planet and the current state of the universe in this story. The mix...Read full review »
