Did you know there was once a marketing war between butter and margarine? Or that the "grandmother hypothesis" could explain why humans live as long as we do? Distillations dives deep into obscure stories of science and leaves you wondering why you never heard of them before.

Non-science person here! Started listening because of the museum aspect, but after listening to three episodes in a row, I'm HOOKED! Love the variety in topics (radio drama!) and the presentationa and production are excellent.

I've learned a lot from listening to over 100 episodes! It's easy for a layman to understand. It's a bit too basic for me as a chemical engineer but I selected episodes about stuff I didn't know as much about. Good job and thank you!

Somehow not quite as interesting as I’d wish; half the topics appeal, half don’t. Just my taste. Appreciative, as always, of the work going in to a service offered for free. Thank you!

I'm always surprised that I don't see this ranked in the most popular science programs
