“This used to be my go to podcast but over the years, it’s basically become a self-appreciation podcast by the host. Endless fawning over whoever the guest speaker is, 4+ minute sponsor breaks at least 3 times per episode and virtue signalling around every corner.
Not to mention the same 20 minutes dedicated each episode where Jeff (the main host) lists every other show and podcast he’s on while Christian (Co-host) makes long-winded jokes that never land, and he just ends up laughing them out to cover up the awkward silence. Honestly, Jeff just comes across as conceited... everything happening in his life, or the Twitter fight he had the night before is the most important thing for that episode.
There are moments of passionate discussion which are genuinely entertaining and interesting but it’s always abruptly ended with a “time to thank our next sponsor” or “we’re running a bit long”.
Meh.”
