The folks at Doctors of Running do a phenomenal job of explaining how different footwear impacts different running mechanics. The shoe reviews are very helpful. They also give a lot of practical advice for running injuries and how to become a more informed runner.

This comes from physical therapists who run and who seek to find ways to improve their performance through strength training, running workouts, and up to date science.

They go in-depth on many running injuries. How and why they occur, preventative measures and rehab tips. Very good information. Also talk a lot about all makes and models of running shoes. Good if you’re looking for a direction to go while looking.

There is a lot I do not understand about the mechanics and anatomy side of running so this podcast is really helpful to break down how to train and recover with that physiological insight. I love the conversational feel and how they make things simple too

It’s awesome to have this kind of insight if you are a runner. What could be better than having doctors talk about shoes and injuries and all sorts of other content. This is a must podcast for any runner!

Aside from the generally good content, I really enjoy the folks on here bantering at times, just talking like a regular group of people. The “buy or sell” episodes are my favorite since that’s what they do the whole time, basically.

But they talk can over each other too much, and sometimes lack background.
DBAlpaca via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/27/23
This podcast, as its name suggests, is unapologetically geeky and technical about running shoes, training, data, and biomechanics. This year, I’ve really been trying to take my running to the next level, and this podcast is perfect for answering my questions.

The DoR team is a blast to listen to, and their science-backed insights should prove valuable no matter where you are on your running journey. Come for the shoe reviews, but stay for everything else when you realize you don’t need more shoes but can still learn more about your body and biomechanics!
