I just found this but have been following this case since childhood. I was 8 in 1976 and grew up in Wayne county (before moving to Oakland county in 1979), but distinctly recall the fear that gripped my parents and grandparents. Ms. Innsted’s research and presentation are impeccable; as a...Read full review »

Growing up in Oakland County during the 70’s made the Oakland County Child Killer murders a major influence in our community. This podcast does an incredible job of painting the picture of what happened during the time and all the fallout. Great Podcast.

I’ve read The Snow Killings and listened to numerous podcasts on this subject. I thought this could be a complete regurgitation of what I already knew, but Nina does an amazing and extremely thoughtful job telling the OCCK stories, as well as uncovering a wealth of information surrounding the...Read full review »

Love this podcast! Nina’s voice is soothing, the cases well researched. I appreciate that she takes a serious tone because we’re dealing with horrible deaths and people are affected. Well done.

I’m not sure how you could make it boring but Nina found a way. I was zoning out during most the episodes and I gave up eventually. She also was adding in cases that are very likely not related to the child killer as filler. Just skip this one.

I’ve been loving this podcast, great storytelling and research. Definitely a voice you can binge listen to! Great job!!

Don’t like the attitude of this host. She spends way too much time talking to some random Livonia resident vaguely recalling (decades later ) what wasn’t done regarding kids in the area. I too lived in that area at the time and remember very clearly many changes were made - cops were everywhere...Read full review »

I love listening to Nina’s podcasts. She is very thorough, thoughtful, considerate and seems to care about the victims and their loved ones. If you enjoyed her telling and research of Don’t Talk to Strangers try her other podcast Already Gone.

I am not a fan of the voice. I am a bit confused on where this is going.

There is no one that can deliver a podcast like Nina. Her voice is so soothing, her research is so precise. Just love all her work!!

I listen to quite a few podcasts and Nina is my favorite. Her voice, her delivery style and the exhausting amounts of research she puts in put her in her own league. I’ve lived in Michigan my whole life and I love hearing attention being brought to these cases. My only complaint is a silly one; I...Read full review »

This podcast is awesome, especially if you like single narrator true crime podcasts. I happen to think the hosts voice is beautifully calm, and pleasant to listen to, particularly with this difficult subject matter.

Not to sound weird... but I find Nina’s voice and style addicting!! Great story telling.. to the point. I’ve never been to Michigan but feel like I have! Keep up the AMAZING work!!!! ....... And thank you for giving a voice to all that you do, but especially the lesser known stories..

One of the first podcasts I listened to. Nina does a great a job at presenting information. No distractions or unnecessary banter.

Great story. But so monotone! Sounds very robotic. I am having to force myself to stay focused.

I’m happy to have just found this pod, but disappointed that I didn’t find it sooner! Great narration, voice and writing. Unfortunately the topics can be grim and makes me ashamed for humanity, however these stories need to be told, in hopes that even a few can be saved and a few predators caught...Read full review »

The narrators voice is so monotone and boring. No emotion when describing the terrible things that happened to these poor children. It’s like she’s reading straight from a script. No investigative journalism, nothing to keep listeners hooked. She’d be better off writing a book rather than reading...Read full review »

The host’s voice is soothing, the research is thorough but not overwhelming, and the length is perfect

I don’t want to listen to podcasts where someone just reads the story to us. Write a book. I listen to to podcasts where the podcaster knocks on doors and interviews witnesses. Podcasts that solve crimes like Tara Grimstead’s. INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING

I couldn’t get through this podcast, the narrators voice sent me to sleep. It had no emotion, and she seemed to have very little interest in what she was talking about.

From the very first listen I was hooked! Nina’s voice is so warm and soothing even though the content of which she speaks is often times brutal and scary! I have been binge listening to this podcast and her other one Already Gone since that first listen. She does impeccable research and clearly...Read full review »

Nina has done an amazing job with this long form podcast about one of the most disgusting crimes against children. The victims deserve her dedication.

I want to like this, but I had to stop listening after ep4. Her racism is just too much to take. Her explanation of the population movements of metro Detroit make every excuse for white racism. She completely neglected to explain why it “was mostly white people that moved to the suburbs”. The...Read full review »

I’ve enjoyed this podcast thus far. However, the latest episode was somewhat unsettling when speaking about Flint. I detected somewhat racist undertones. And yes, Flint is absolutely terrifying because they STILL are without clean water.

Thank you for your beautifully researched podcast. It’s a story that deserves to be told and you did it great justice. I am very sorry to hear about your Dad. Take care of yourself. Thank you again.

The narrator’s monotone whisper negates any content of the story. I was asleep midway through the first episode. Unsubscribes and hope to never hear this ladies voice again.

I enjoy her podcast and her voice is super calming. I binged Already gone in just a few weeks. She really knows her stuff.

In this age of crime podcast the majority of listeners would not want to miss one episode or dare to skip one episode. So there’s no need to continuously on every episode remind listeners to go back to the beginning if they just began listening somewhere in the middle. It’s a bit redundant....Read full review »

I like her voice. She’s done a lot of research but I need a summary of what was covered in previous episodes. Meh
Too convoluted and the way the announcer drifts around from actual storyline to her personal feelings is distracting and annoying.

I’m from Detroit and later Westland so I’m familiar with so many of the crimes and areas. Nina’s voice is amazing and I love that she works so hard to keep things true and accurate. Keep it up.

Having grown up in Royal Oak during that time, it was all around me. Over the years, memories faded, but listening to this podcast has brought back those memories. It’s interesting to hear the story from the perspective of someone else who was there back then.

I remember seeing this case when I was younger on unsolved mysteries. I remember the son of GM exec being the most likely suspect. Hope you can spend as much quality time with your father as possible.

I enjoyed the story and all the details that Nina has provided. The delivery of the podcasts has changed as there is more vocal inflection- sometimes I catch myself tuning out.
