Take a Listen
I like the podcast as it shed light on various topics that affect the community. When Natalie speaks it feels like she’s auditioning for play rather than having a conversation with the others. Sounds a bit shouty maybe it’s a sound issue? Who knows. It’s not unbearable just very noticeable at points. The episode regarding can everyone be racist was slightly disappointing as while I understand that you to have a mix of views to keep it interesting. The fact remains that racism is about power. So whilst we can discriminate Black people can not be racist. Regardless if the country is predominately Black, Whiteness is always upheld even if it’s not explicitly said. Jamaica is a prime example. As well as other islands and countries that have been colonised. This discussion would of benefited from someone who has studied the subject. As lived experience isn't always enough to explain the nuances around racism. That being said I don’t want to take away from all of the hard work that is put into the show. It’s a great to see and hear. Take a listen and see for yourself. :)Read full review »
