Update: My first review was from more than 2 years ago. I kept the podcast in my feed because I’m willing to give another try after some time. Well, I tried again and I find the same observations I made previously. The host covers stories not likely to be heard on other shows, but still has not...Read full review »

My heart broke for Emma, as you told her story I could not help the tears that rolled down my cheeks for Emma and all of her siblings. So strong and rightly angry at the decisions of the adults around her and yet just a vulnerable and traumatized kid in the end. Godspeed Emma.

Thank you for covering Mike’s case! I am Mike’s sister in law. Unfortunately I never knew Mike as a adult but did play with him and my now husband Jeff as children. My children are the ones who helped you. I can not begin to tell you how this has effected our lives over the last 43 years. Just...Read full review »

Two reasons to not use that guest: 1. Volume so low it is unintelligible. 2. Distracting blather. I fast forwarded it all.

Yay! You’re back! Love your podcast and all your hard work in investigation and voice! Kudos. One of the best podcasts out there!

I’ve listened to almost every available episode of this show. It’s good, and I really appreciate how it covers obscure cases. I do wish the host would make her credentials more obvious. I assumed that she was a journalist at first, but now I’m unsure. She clearly knows how to investigate and...Read full review »

Jeni Decker is in a league of her own. She is so thorough, so articulate, and a genuine advocate for the victims of these stories. She is fearless in her research and detail. By far one of the best TC podcasts out there, and I give almost all of them a chance. Always thrilled for a new season,...Read full review »

I listened to more than half the seasons, and tried to listen to some others, but ultimately I have to give up on this podcast. Some seasons are better than others. The downfalls are 1) interviews that drag on and on and on (other podcasters edit to hit the relevant points) and 2) the host...Read full review »

I would have liked to have listened to all the podcasts but the music playing in the background is so annoying that I cannot listen to them. It distracts from what you are saying.

Your research & attention to detail is excellent. And the interviews with the people involved make the stories even more intriguing & real. For your most recent season, thank you for giving these women a voice!

Voice is grating, content not compelling enough to put up with it.

I just found this podcast, and started listening to season 11. I was enjoying it until there was a political dig. Totally unnecessary.

I actually started with the most recent season. I was blown away to say the least. Even if I wanted to say something bad about it I couldn’t! Great job, keep up the awesome work💖

The first episode I listened to focused on racism and police. I get there are bad individuals in all job descriptions but there was such a stance against the police it was clear what her view was. It was not a podcast with only facts laid out. She definitely had an agenda. Not for me.

I learned about this podcast and started with Season 11. Then started jumping around while listening to current season. I just finished season 7. All I can say is this podcast is brilliant and moving and wonderful and sad all wrapped into one. I love her voice, the detail to picking just the...Read full review »

My aunt lives in this home now and was told by a psychic medium about Lora sticking around the property around the tree in the back yard. We were just talking about her recent discoveries at dinner tonight! She has even felt loras spirit at the home many times.

If you enjoy listening to a multi-part, systematic investigation of cold cases, then this is for you. The interviewer is thoughtful and asks the hard questions in an engaging manner which helps to reveal new aspects of the case.

So I know that everyone starts somewhere. And usually the very first episode of a new podcast sounds as if it’s a work in progress.. So I went to Season 2 just to see if the delivery improved; it was WAY better & the host makes an audio visual with appropriate sound effects to submerge you...Read full review »

I just finished season 4 and am in awe of the detail she provides. I’m from the area most of these cases happened, so I’m familiar with the stories but learned much more from the podcast. Great job!

You can tell that a lot of care was taken to get information about the cases. I love the host’s voice and some of the episodes have actual recordings of interviews. I’ve listened to a lot of different true crime podcasts and this is one of the best. Plus, Jeni will actually respond to questions...Read full review »

Keep the political views out - they serve no purpose.

It was very distracting to have the pet shop sound effects while describing the murder victim at her job. Too much rigamarole about the polices and other law enforcement. Very repetitive there. I know she has a real drive to tell these stories and I do admire that.

Love love love! Hit the nail on the head! Not sure why this podcast isn’t a 5 star!!! Better than any true crime I ever heard. Original well researched! Love the host!

I feel like I have been listening to the 1st episode of season 6 for about 12 hours now. I just checked the time and it's been on 7 and a half minutes. It feels like 12 hours that make me want to scream. Why, exactly, would someone record a podcast and then put awful, truly AWFUL, obnoxious...Read full review »

This is one of the most underrated podcasts out there. I am surprised it has not gotten more attention with so many seasons up. There should be nothing but 5 stars for this podcast. Jeni Decker is one of the best. Her shows are mesmerizing. New season and new story and she does not disappoint. Everything fits seamless like a glove. Jeni, you’re my hero. A champion for all of us that don’t feel like we matter. Thank you.

I really like this show but man is it laborious to listen to. We get it, he did it! And yes he is inappropriate in the interview.
