Overall book review (spoilers)  Wine: iGreco - cata rosso! Cheers to the end of the book! This week we discuss the book overall, including our favorite and least favorite parts with a wonderful wine from iGreco, the Tumasu Rosso! It's got raspberry and chocolate front and the back half hits with earthy overtones. Thick and totally worth the ten bucks! The book got an overall rating of 8/10! The Kaladin/Shallan stuff pushed the rating to the 8, we were surprised to love Shallan after hating...

This week we take to the sky with the earthy Ruden 2018, Astoria. The wine is absolutely delicious! It's earthy and Iron-ish! Reminds me of cooking steak with a cast-iron skillet! It's also delectably smooth and dry.  The Sanderlanche is totally worth it! Made it to the end! So much going on shows what a master storyteller he is! This part gets us to a 7.5/10! She thinks there's too much fighting that takes away from character, which I of course disagree with... but she has a point!  ---...

This week is the first episode from Italy! The wine this time was literally 2Euro's from the store down the road in Torre Del Greco! It's called Aglianico Beneventano - Le Terre del Normanno. We've got to admit, it's better than most wines we've had on the podcast! She's Full bodied, dry, tastes dark but not fruity; smooth and soft. Not as soft as menage e tres silk, but similar in substance and overall feel. Definitely recommend! As this is our first podcast from Italy, we're still in an...

Well everyone, it's our last week of Podcasting in Bahrain! A Bit bittersweet of a move, but we celebrate with a momentous wine! This is the most Expensive wine we've ever had on the podcast! The Barolo Cannubi 2012 (Damilano). It's hand down the best wine bottle of wine we've had on the podcast, and at 77 dollars it's also the most expensive wine we've ever had as well! It's incredibly smooth, with a full body, warm, and just one of the best things ever. Not very heavy; fruity but dark....

The Book is HEATING UP! Got the rating up to a solid 7 this week "Because I can't just be giving out 10's all the time". This week's discussion is emboldened with Sera Fleur Yuruli; a Sweet, dark and smooth wine from Hiroshima! It tastes like grape juice, could legitimately not tell if there was alcohol even in it.   Wouldn't pair it with anything, this wine is meant to be enjoyed by itself! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

Join us for a fun ride with Talo's Negroamaro! An interesting tasting wine that was obviously well-travelled by the time it entered our fine island. Pretty dark and heavym just like this week's reading material! Strap in! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

Join us as we go thru Part 2 and the Interludes with Barone Di Freganius Primitivo Di Manduria, a casual wine perfect for day-drinking. It got the job done tonight, so prepare for a lot of profanity as well as spoilers as we go! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

Hey everyone! This week we decided to spruce it up a bit with some home made cocktails. She needed a Guinea pig and I'm always down to clown. If you're feeling up for a hard morning, get your limes and juicers ready and follow the recipes below. Our limes were REALLY fresh and man these drinks were sour! Next time I think I'll just use a branded lemonade for the Lynchberg lemonade. Pineapple Margarita:  1.5oz Tequila, .75oz Triple SEc, .75oz lime juice + 2oz Pineapple juice Lynchberg...

We're back! New and improved with a Storming Intro, Airsick discussion and even MORE Mid-tier wines! Reminder that we spoil as we go, so if you hadn't read through chapter 7 (including ch7) be forewarned! Mandrarossa's Chardonnay Laguna Secca is crisp and neat with a hint of citrus. It's basically alcoholic grape juice, so it's probably perfect for most table-wine settings!  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

Join us as we finish up the Way of Kings with Roscato Dark. We spoil as we go, so definitely read the book before listening this week!!! The Wine is as dark as the Storm-wall, and tastier than Horneater stew! You can't put the book down at the end, and you can't stop drinking this fantastic wine! Fair warning for the explicit language used throughout. Also, I've gotta say that this has been our favorite episode so far. Thanks for coming with us on this journey! Stay tuned for next weeks...

This week we make our way through Part 4 with Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso! This wine is bold and powerful, with a sneaky kick! Highly recommended. The last time I had this wine was on the top of Vesuvius, so from Italy to Bahrain this wine has been had and loved. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

Come join us as we continue our discussion of Way of Kings with 19 Crimes wine - "Cheers to the Infamous"... and the decently tasty! DEfinetly need to chill this one for best results. Full Disclosure, lot of profanity here. Got pretty slurred very quickly.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

This week we spiced it up with an incredibly wonderful beer; Guldendraak. Had to go back and get a mini-keg; we loved it so much! Heavy, flavorful, POWERFUL! This beer is basically a wine in and of itself. As far as the book goes, we head thru chapter 40, the book getting an increased rating as we get further along into the plot! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

Join us as we continue through part 2 of the Way of Kings! This week we partook in Cooper and Thief's Red Blend. This wine was hands-down the best wine of the season. Highly recommended! It's a pretty heavy wine full of awesome flavors. You should probably cook a steak before drinking this wine. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

Today's episode is not for the faint of heart. There's a bit of profanity; tongues were loosed by today's wine. We head through Chapter 20 in our foray with the Way of Kings with the not-so-great "Leali dell'Angelo Peidirosso". I thought it was terrible... couldn't have been THAT bad, I still drank it! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drinking-by-stormlight/support

Join us in our 2nd episode where we finish up part 1 of ' The Way of Kings' by the SanderMan!  The wine for today's podcast was "Storypoint Cabernet Sauvignon', a bit of an "on point" wine for us!
