I can’t put in words the uniqueness and greatness of the series Duolingo has created in Spanish! The stories, the language, the sound effects and Martina... all this makes this podcast stand out ! My favorite and most recommended show! Thank you for the work you do. It’s significant.

Hi I am Lucy and I am 10 years old, I have been using the app for 2 years as my grandparents live in Spain and I can now speak more Spanish than my nanny who has been living there for 3 years. By the way my nanny and grandad were on a place in the sun in about 2016-2017 looking for a place in...Read full review »

Martina Castro has the most soothing voice. The stories are interesting and I love learning about other cultures and the varying accents used throughout Latin America and Spain. I listen to it on my walks so I can concentrate. Even if you can’t understand all the words, the narration clues you...Read full review »

It’s a great series for intermediate learners and the transcripts are good to follow and go back through after if there are words you don’t know.

When the stories are this interesting, they create more satisfaction than just language practice. I feel like I have a deeper understanding of people, the places they live and their lives. And, understanding most of the Spanish feels like a triumph. All those Duo lessons are paying off. (Of...Read full review »

When I started listening I barely understood a word; now I can follow every story easily. It’s a great tool to practice listening comprehension for self-taught Spanish speakers.

I love Duolingo! It makes me really proud to be from Pennsylvania. I like this podcast, and watching conservatives lose their minds over a different culture brings a smile to my face

Great resource for those trying to learn Spanish but beware, they definitely have a theme with the subject of their podcasts at least in the past two seasons (pretty liberal) - LGBTQ and climate change are featured a lot.

Part of learning language is knowing how it is used. I enjoy hearing the different perspectives given in the stories. The varied accents also help my hearing skills. The season on the bandits of Argentina was super fun. I enjoy the individual stories too.

When I saw Duolingo’s invitation to listen to their podcast, I really thought it would be about small Spanish lessons. I was very surprised though, to hear real people’s stories! I saw the add in the Duolingo app and was like meh. Then I saw all the snowflake conservatives chiming in about how triggered it made them and was like ok, I’ll try it out. Glad I did, I think it will help.

Wonderful stories! Learning to listen to Spanish for someone that knows a lot of words is great. It challenges you to listen very closely to pick up the Spanish words that you know to tie the story together. Love the PODcast!
