A really interesting and entertaining podcast. I grew up in Brightlingsea, so I enjoy hearing about the local area. But it is well worth listening to even if you aren’t a local. Keep doing what you do!

Eerie Essex has great hosts, great stories and great guests! Something for everyone delivered with wry wit and plenty of wisdom 😉

Boring it’s like a Q&A session back and forth at each other, then the random noises between every sentence are irritating.

You cannot find a better, more engaging folklore podcast than Eerie Essex. Each episode is delivered with professionalism, significant knowledge of subject matter, well resourced tales and a humour that never fails to raise a smile. A gem of a podcast with great hosts!

Listening to these two friends share tales of weirdness from Essex is like being party to an intriguing chat in a warm country pub. Thanks for your thorough research and easy way of conveying these eerie tales.

It’s always a fun listen and lots of interesting content. The ‘bants’ is of a consistently high standard 😝 and I keep coming back for more.

Eerie Essex is such a fun listen. I love the podcast’s focus on Essex’s ghosts and folklore and the enthusiasm Bethan and Alisa bring to every episode. The Danny Robbins episode is a stand out favourite of mine. I definitely recommend listening to this podcast if you haven’t already!

Having been blown away by Bethan, in Spectre of the Sea, I was really looking forward to this. Well, I’m afraid this podcast just involves two friends chatting with each other. No sound effects, no eerie music and zero atmosphere. If you enjoy listening to people just rambling on, then this...Read full review »

I live the Eerie Essex pod. Not a pair of white stilettos in sight. Just good banter, great spookiness and blue hair.
