Very hard to listen to when the host is constantly interrupting her guest in odd spots

I discovered Egg Shell podcasts recently, quite by accident. I found them helpful and interesting but often I was distracted by daily life or I didn’t relate to the topic of discussion. THEN I listened to one of the audio essays. The experience was so powerful - listening a voice directed to the...Read full review »

I love the audio essays, very informative and validating. The interviews are difficult to listen to, the host could be better at listening and allowing her guests to speak.

The emotional eating episode lacked compassion in a way that really surprised me. I would prefer not to hear from Karen as a guest again.

This would be one of the psychology podcasts around if the host would stop interrupting the guests. At several points in the Generational Trauma episode, she was trying to talking over the guest for 5+ seconds at a time, just as the guest was getting to the good part!!!

The host talk/interrupts too much and doesn’t let her guests speak. Too many unnecessary interjections.

Some reviews talk about Imi interrupting, but it should be noted that Imi herself is a psychotherapist with extensive knowledge and unique perspective. way too many interruptions by the host. She literally breaks the guests train of thought to ask questions or even insert personal comments that tend to distract from the topic. Painful and frustrating listen. ((sorry))

Maybe it was just a bad day but she kept interrupting every time her guest started getting to the point, like she wasn’t really listening. It was hard to listen to.

When I first listened to this podcast I felt so validated. I have always been very self-critical about the fact that I “feel too much” and that has translated into burying my feelings! These conversations have helped tremendously with my depression struggles. Imi is a great host and she is very...Read full review »

Fabulous podcast offering depth, insight and compassion. Very soothing to hear other people have had similiar experiences (and feelings of being misunderstood) to my own.
