Neil H
Engaging and insightful walk through Bob Last’s working life, someone, who as an indie band member I always wondered has an interest in. As a fan of the Fire engines and my city’s Mekons, there were some illuminating moments. Notably ME challenging Last on his machinations with Virgins Simon Draper to split the human league into two(and taking the lead singer away from the writing team) to keep their deal in place. Very brave to leave the sense of hurt MW obvs still feeling and expose Last to some polite scrutiny. It’s slightly uncomfortable but worthwhile. It’s clear the podcast is driven by his personal network but it’s quite a list! Btw Martyn. You should do Ian at TDR - he has some great stories.

The guest list on here is superb. Green Gartside should be a fun guy to have in your show. You would get a word in edgeways if you’re not careful, Martyn. Top marks.

Some really interesting interviews and great guests. Gets frustrating when MW gets in the way of the guest and makes it too much about himself.

I had doubts at first, but I’ve grown to love it. Fantastic stuff. Love The Human League and Heaven...Read full review »
