Really looking forward to cathi unsworth interview. She has written a brilliant informative book with a great musical and political perspective.. .. and I’m not even a Goth fan! Unfortunately Martin was up to his old and irritating tricks of dominating the interview with his views and opinions...Read full review »

The host is very likeable on the whole, and when he’s on form quite amusing. But there are some really cringey David Brent style moments when he tells guests they can swear, then actively try’s to encourage them. Definitely wants to be seen as hip and outrageous at times, shame, because it’s very...Read full review »

Not bad. Martin Gore should be on this.

Really love Martyn's interviews Ignore any of the naysayers - particularly those bleating on about 'too Left' lol or 'too much talking' - they’re talking absolute rubbish Martyn has done some amazing interviews with some absolutely pivotal musicians, producers and artists. I...Read full review »

Listening to Electronically Yours makes me feel like a true in-the-know music insider. With Martyn Ware as my guide I am learning so much about the artists and industry professionals who don’t always get a spotlight turned on them. From legends like Moby to the avant- guard such as Scanner (Robin...Read full review »

I used to tune in for the guests but Martyn has a tendency to make each podcast all about himself and this limits how much we explore each artist.

A superb series; mixing the well-known with more obscure interviewees. Have “discovered” lots of artists I’d never stumbled across before and Martyn has a great knack in bringing out some fascinating anecdotes

To my great shame I just discovered Martyn’s podcast in April 2023. But I’m so happy to have nearly 150 podcasts to listen to. Amazing stuff. A real superb program for music lovers.

Only knows about guest what it says on Wikipedia, which is very often wrong. Started to help own mental health, but now wants paying for it. Champagne socialist.

Recently discovered Electronically Yours by accident! Great series of guests giving an insight into the creative process over the past 40+ years. You got to clear the air and get with Phil Oakey as that would be so revealing and fascinating for those that have their own recollections of those...Read full review »

Just recently discovered this and currently working my way through the back catalog. Martyn has an idiosyncratic style of interviewing. It can take some getting used to, but it’s worth persevering. I had doubts at first, but I’ve grown to love it. Fantastic stuff. Love The Human League and Heaven...Read full review »

Some really good shows, but like many other reviews have said Martyn has tendency to fill the air time at the expense of his guest. He does ask interesting questions and his music experience does guide the conversation engagingly at times. However producer/editor your job is to keep Mr Ware in...Read full review »

How this has run for 100+ episodes is beyond me. Ware has to be the worst interviewer/host I've heard. If I'd started listening within the first dozen or so episodes I'd have thought, 'Yeah, he's new to this, he'll get better' but I started in the 60s. So poor.Read full review »

Champagne Socialist that always turns the conversation around to himself. Slowly running out of decent guests. Really bitter towards Phil's success with the League. Also now giving a platform to the anti semetic Jeremy Corbyn.Read full review »

Love Human League, Heaven 17 etc, but sadly, Martin is not really the best when it comes to interviewing skills. Long pauses, focusing on self rather than the guest, random questions which smack of ‘emergency’ questions. I will keep listening because this podcast fills a definite gap in the...Read full review »

Conversations about electronic music with and by people who created and continue to create it. Sometimes gossipy and funny, sometimes nostalgic, but overwhelmingly fascinating. If you have ever danced or listened to electronic music in any of its forms, this show is for you.

Great guests from the late 70s & 80s UK electronic music scene. Every guest is a great friend of Martin’s. When is Tina Turner going to be on? Waiting for Phil Oakey ( the girls won’t let him ) I personally wish they would talk about synths, drum machines and music production more. But that’s...Read full review »

Ugh … I have delayed leaving a review for this podcast for quite some time now but after listening to the latest episode with Dr. Fink, I feel it is time for me to say a few words. Great style of interview - & yeah the host does like to reflect a little, but that just adds to the magic bestowed upon us. Only criticism if I may - phone interviews just don’t work the same way sound quality wise so please avoid these as it’s a tough listen.

Had to turn off the John Foxx podcast as I felt so sorry for the poor guy. MW talked over him the whole time, it was all me, me, me. So being the right age most of the stories in the podcast are of great interest and I am a Heaven 17 fan so it should be up my street.
