Unique insight, but a bit more preparation please
I’m going to give this an extremely enthusiastic five stars . Apple does not give a six star option but I would have knocked it out of the five star anyway because of one small detail I Love the insider perspective. However , he might consider doing a bit more research ahead of time on the artists. For the interview with Gary Numan, for example, he confessed that he did not know the full name of the album nor the single that is being released. But I had to find something to pick at in this otherwise incredibly immersive series of conversations... This is a musician who has has the ability to share some incredible insights through his conversations with other superstars of the age of new wave and synth. For example, in one conversation they discuss how songs used to be written and the producers role in those songs. It’s contrasted with the current way that pop songs are written and left me with a better understanding of why I find it hard to enjoy any music written by anyone Who started making music in this modern era of Apple garage band logic, and other digital crutches He says this is a series of podcasts as a way for him to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. I sincerely hope this continues this project as a bunch of in-depth conversations for the long future to come
