“The latest one (Xue Susu) is especially egregious. It’s not Shu-ay, it’s Xue1. All one word.
There’s no doubt in mind that these episodes are well researched but each time I hear her say “Shu-ay,” it distracts from the narrative and all I can think is “she couldn’t take five minutes to teach herself basic pinyin?””
