In this episode Millie chats to Zoe McBride. Zoe is a former World Champion rower, representing New Zealand on the world stage for 9 years. She is a current Psychology student at the University of Canterbury, interested in well-being, personal development, and performance. She has a passion for movement, connection, and development. She is working towards helping young people, and young athletes build the resilience and personal skills they need to navigate both life and sporting endeavors, along with helping young girls and women build healthy, long-lasting relationships with their bodies. They discuss how the focus on weight in rowing led to the development of her eating disorder, the toxicity of comparison and what needs to change in elite sport to help support athletes and their mental health.  There is hope at ended.org.au  endED is a nonprofit organisation and needs your support to continue providing guidance and hope for those affected by eating disorders.
