The "Hosts" Are Not Cut Out for Speaking!
I can really resonate with Maureen St. Germain, but the interviewers, if you can call them that, were really painful to listen to. The show "started" with them just sort of chit chatting, I don't think they were aware they were live. The two hosts, a male and female, then chatted about themselves being called by different names, Rick, Jane, Nick? Completely irrelevant banter. After the show finally got started, the hosts only adjective was "cool". No questions for Ms. St. Germain, a lot of awkward dead air, and some snorts from the male host, ew. It was obvious no editing had been done on this podcast, but it still left the aforementioned issues for which no editing could have helped anyway. They were more enthusiastic about the artist of a song they played (spelled her name and mentioned her again at the end of the show) than they were of their terrific guest. No preparation, no organization, no interviewing skills. They seemed like nice people, but they're just not cut out for this kind of work unless they're willing to learn and then work hard at it. Oh and the telephone/Skype connection kept getting diconnected and this further derailed the "interview."Read full review »
