Back from a hiatus Jonathan and Mark give their first impressions of Apple’s California Streaming event. They unveiled a modern iPad mini, iPhone 13 & 13 Pro, Apple Watch Series 7 and more. This week Apple releases beta 3 of its new operating systems. Mark and Jonathan talk through the changes Apple has made to Safari. As WWDC 2021 has ended Jonathan got to hear from some members of the Apple community and find out their thoughts on the event. In part 2 of the WWDC special we hear from:  Zack Becker, KayDaCode, Ish Shabazz, Christian Selig, and Jeff Rames. So what were some of the things they were most excited for? What API’s and announcements didn’t we get this time around that they really wanted? These topics and more hopefully give good feedback to how the community thought this years WWDC went.

This week Mark and Jonathan follow up on some event announcements from last week. New changes to Apple Care+ gives users coverage for much longer. iOS 14.5 is released with a huge number of features and one Mark unfortunately can’t use. Then they talk about whats happened at Basecamp. Finally they try to end the show on a lighter note. 

Mark and Jonathan dive into the news from Apple’s spring loaded event. AirTags finally exist, a new amazing iMac is shown off, and there is finally a new Siri remote! Not to mention tons of other small announcements. What devices will they get and what are they most excited about?

Jonathan goes to the Apple Store to see the AirPods Max. Apple opens up its Find My network to 3rd party hardware makers with AirTags no where to be found. Gurman has new rumors of an interesting Apple TV that we hope is real. Finally Apple announces its April event and Mark and Jonathan try to guess what will be announced.

Mark and Jonathan talk about Kara Swisher’s great interview with Tim Cook. How Apple still needs to address developer’s problems with the App Store especially ahead of WWDC. Russia has a new law where government apps must be pre installed in smart devices, Apple’s strategy to comply with this is interesting. Finally they talk about new Apple TV rumors and some new games and changes to Apple Arcade. 

This week Mark and Jonathan ponder what a rugged Apple Watch would be like based on some new rumors. Anker’s new MagSafe battery pack gets good reviews. Apple officially announces WWDC 2021. Can they walk the fine line of addressing developers concerns with the App Store and debut new frameworks and tools to get developers excited? Finally AltConf 2021 has also been announced and is being carried out as an online event just like WWDC.

Mark and Jonathan reflect on the death of the HomePod. And share what they want Apple to do in the smart home space. Kosta Eleftheriou sues Apple in what is a very important but unfortunate story shedding a light on Apple that is sad to see. Finally they chat about keyboards, moving, and more.
