“This was really good timing for me because I am trying to figure out whether or not to go back to cane reeds or stick with the Fiberreeds I have been using.
Derek seems to get a great sound with the Legére reeds so perhaps it is time for me to give them a try. What I took immediate notice of was that he mentioned the 1/4 strengths; now that really appealed to me. That and the consistency sound like what I am after. Sure, a good cane reed has that certain warm sound, but Derek demonstrated to me that would also be achievable with the Legére.
