The guests are so kind so share their stories. It’s helpful to listen and be able to relate. Overall a great show. I wish the host would not interrupt people so much. She tries so hard to be funny and relate to the guests that she ends up taking away from their stories by speaking over them. You...Read full review »

I have cried and rejoiced listening to your podcast while empathizing with you and your interviewees. I have an adopted nephew (he’s always known) we are super close in age and I think of him as a little brother. I love when people say we look alike! I am always upset when families reject the...Read full review »

Each and every story is interesting, I never get sick of listening to them. And, normally ads are unbearable, but the ads in this podcast have to be the worlds cutest, I laugh out loud and I would recommend this Podcast for Eve’s kid’s ads alone!

I get some type of nugget of wisdom from each podcast of Eve’s that I have listened to. She really puts her interviewees at ease and guides them to tell their stories. Their stories are very relatable and has given me much to think about in my own journey as a NPE.

On 9/11/23, I had an NPE event. On one of my first days in the online NPE/DCP/LDA community, Everything’s Relative was recommended to me. I dove in headfirst and binged-listened to every. single. episode. Over the course of about 3 weeks, I laughed, gasped, and cried with Eve and her...Read full review »

Eve Sturges is a therapist who had a mid-life discovery that the man she always thought was her father wasn’t actually her biological father. But instead of wallowing and spiraling, she wrote a book and started a podcast, diving into the world of donor sperm, secret adoptions, IVF, genealogy, and...Read full review »

I’m not a part of the NPE community, but the stories that Eve shares here are really so beautiful and complicated… and she presents them with such care, love, and sensitivity. It gives me a good cry, often. :)

This podcast has helped me to not feel the shame and embarrassment that I felt when I first found out. Thank you! I can openly talk about it and know that I’m not alone.

This show has taught me two things about parents: (1) they were not as faithful as you might have imagined and (2) they have a strong predilection for royally screwing up their children by denying that specific “relations” ever happened despite DNA evidence to the contrary.

I really enjoy the podcast, but sometimes I find it difficult to follow and it jumps around in the person’s story. I wish you would start from the beginning of their story and go from there.

I love this podcast so much! I’m not an NPE but I’m estranged from my family and some of the stories I hear really hit home. And beyond that they’re just amazing, important stories that need to be more widely known! And Eve is the best host

I tell friends, who are into genealogy, all of the time about this podcast. I am not an NPE. I first heard about Eve on another one of my favorite podcasts, Depresh Mode with John Moe. This podcast is fantastic. It explores the world of unexpected family relationships, DNA discoveries, adoption and other similar issues. Eve, the host is funny and a pleasure to listen to. She handles her guests with kindness and compassion. A great podcast.

OK
But as an NPE, too (who else would listen?) I don’t need this edgy chick lit attitude. Grow up.

Eve’s light and airy personality is matched by her insatiable curiosity that leads her to the truth, and nothing but the truth. For me, as an adoptee from a closed file adoption of the 60’s baby scoop era, the commonality between Late Discovery Adoptees, Donor Conceived Individuals, and...Read full review »

I love all things Eve! She has a magical touch with her approach to people, healing, and (in my case, as an adoptee) talking about a life of wondering where we came from and who we even are. She brings out the best in her interviews. I am so grateful to have stumbled across her podcast at a time in my life that I’m trying to overcome the stigma I’ve placed upon myself of being the dirty little secret. Thank you!

This podcast is not just a heartfelt collection of stories for the NPE/adoption/donor conceived community. It’s also an awesome tool for learning about help that is available for those on their journey to figure out their family puzzles. Eve’s compassion come through in each episode.

This podcast helps me, as an NPE, to see that others are in similar situations. Although there are sometimes major differences in our stories, our beliefs, and our experiences it brings people together and helps with understanding who we are.

I listen to NPE podcasts pretty much every day.
