Amusing and informative, with a congenial host
Russell Kane is a really likeable host and amusingly guides his guests through the not so salubrious habits of the putative genius. Most entertaining episode by far for me has been Evelyn Waugh, about whose personal life I knew little and about whose genius status Russell endearingly struggles to hide his own enthusiasm. I won’t spoil it by revealing the panel’s verdict. The Lennon episode was entertaining if holding no real new info for me (well done for your verdict panel, I agree!). If you’re new to the podcast, and have a science background like me, maybe don’t start with the Einstein episode, wait until the other episodes have charmed you; nothing quite so painful to a scientist as hearing arts-based entertainers mangling a scientific analysis, and whilst Einstein’s edicts to his long-suffering first wife made for entertaining discussion, this episode felt cut short and a missed opportunity. Great series overall, though, and a welcome addition to my podcast subscriptions.

Started off ok but when a panel including of two women forgive a wife beating, drug addict because he tells good jokes........ It may come as a shock but telling a few funny jokes doesn't forgive being an evil and dangerous person.Read full review »
