“This past episode was one my favorite. I find it pretty amazing at the value that you get from these Exponent podcast episodes.
I love hearing about Ben’s insights into the decisions that he’s made around anything product marketing related. I think product marketing is one of the most misunderstood and underrated aspects of the business behind our most beloved technology products. There is no one better at this conversation than Ben Thompson. He should really write a book around his thinking because such conversations are unfortunately in rare commodity.
It seemed to me that James was really into today's episode as well. He had a lot of energy and his voice radiated with interest, while helping guide Ben’s thinking in flushing out his story. Both of these guys really are class acts and show a lot of mutual respect towards one another. It’s very endearing — in a modest way.
If anyone listening to this podcast is thinking about joining Ben’s Stratechery membership, I’d highly recommend doing so. Ben is a superstar in this space and I really hope that one of the tech giants doesn’t make him an offer that he can’t refuse, taking him off the market because I wake up in the mornings with an extra pep in my step just to read Ben’s membership articles. (selfish of me, I know..)
