Extraordinary Extraordinary Creatives
Just listened to the Extraordinary Creative, Ekow Eshun speaking about stepping through the uncaring 70s, writing his first Face 100 words on shoes and previewing the show he's curating at the National Portrait Gallery (looking forward to that). Honest, fascinating and hosted generously by Ceri Hand. So uplifting to hear from Beth Bate and Tim A Shaw who believe in using their creativity, in their different ways, to make the world a better place for others. The 'art world' can sometimes seem an inhumane place. But Ceri's interviewees show that kindness and humanity is very much present. And through sensitive but incisive questions Ceri manages to get deep below the surface so we understand what leads people to make a difference in the world, how they continue to overcome challenges and apply these insights to our own lives.Read full review »

Like listening in to an introductory counselling session, Ceri is a warm attentive audience. I would love to hear from Ines Van Lambswerde, her work in The Face astounded and fascinated me in my late teens but I could never understand what I was truly looking at.

Ceri has the knack of getting to the issues that matter the most with each guest. Her incisive, personable touch makes for joyful listening, even when topics are tough. Total authenticity, and she never dominates her guests - she enables them to shine.
