Not for me
I was looking forward to this series after hearing the ads on another I Heart Radio station. However, what this show is framed as is revisiting childhood trauma and speaking ill of the dead. Not everyone can have a great relationship with their parents, sure, but all of these stories make me uncomfortable with their tone of betrayal and shock. It’s typical genealogical info, cast in a “whodunnit” light. I’m sorry the interviewees couldn’t have had that open relationship with their parents, and I’ve learned to be honest with my future children, so that’s my one take-away from this podcast. Won’t be listening in the future.
