Thanks for getting this out on the air
David and Fabrice, I have found the “Feeling Good Podcast” to be a great tool to assist in my mental well-being and overall happiness. I have experienced years of diagnosed “mild depression” and “generalized anxiety”. Medications, therapy and reading various mental health self-help books worked only slightly for me. I bought the “Feeling Good Workbook” years ago but would simply read a few chapters when times got rough for me and then set it aside when my moods improved. After many bouts of “rough times” in my life I decided to put daily effort into bettering my mental well-being. Active reading and doing the exercises in the “Feeling Good Workbook” has helped greatly. Listening to the “Feeling Good “Podcast has given further leverage to the information gleamed from the workbook. I really enjoy the convenience of being able to listen to the Podcasts during my daily commute. Recently after talking to my physician, we decided to taper off my anti-anxiety medication which I have taken for 7 years. At the same time, I continued my daily ritual of using the worksheet from the “Feeling Good Workbook” and taking time to learn techniques to correct my mental distortions. Wow what a change for the better. Now after several months of doing the daily exercises, I can honestly say I have not felt better in years. There are still struggles, but now I have some easily accessible tools that clear my distorted thoughts. David and Fabrice, your efforts to get the research and techniques on air have certainly made a difference in my life and I suspect the lives of many. To both of you, my sincerest THANK YOU. I am inspired to further spread the knowledge you have imparted to me. I interact on a daily basis in my professional and personal life with people who struggle with poor mental health. Most of all of us could use a daily dose of good mental health calisthenics. I look forward to continued personal growth and advancing to others simple knowledge that I have learned through “Feeling Good”. Sincerely, Paul in Seattle Washington
