Such a good concept, poor execution
Love crime, love murder, love feminist alternative narratives. Was super excited to start listening to this podcast until it was ruined within the first five seconds by two entirely different yet both emotionless voices; one flat and robotic and the other just plain over done. Both women's voices not only sound insincere, but they are also sound like they were recorded separately and processed by different audio producers (I studied radio/audio production) and then pasted haphazardly together. If I wanted to listen to a story told by bad voice actors I'd go to Audible.Read full review »

More reviews of Female Criminals
It's so refreshing to see a true crime show that isn't focused on the typical, lust-driven male murderers. Excited to see this podcast bring light to an overshadowed subject! Love that they have female hosts and a female writing team to handle these stories sensitively!Read full review »

So almost good! Great subjects great research and storytelling. The only problem is the story is interrupted with brief psychology vingettes that really are not necessary nor helpful as it talks down to the listener and completely derails the flow of the story.

love this show, and like the female perspective. i think you guys could ease up on the ‘citations’. some feel unnecessary, and take away from the show.
