Feminist Folklore has opened my eyes!
If you are into dissecting folklore & fairytales, this is the podcast for you! I really enjoy Carly and Rachael’s banter and insights. Their retellings of familiar and obscure (to me) stories are compelling and fun. I especially enjoy stories from countries outside the US. Hearing their perspectives, which are sometimes at odds, has opened my eyes to the subtle way women (and men) have been conditioned by society through story. As a mom of two girls, four and two, I’m paying attention! Thank you ladies, your hard work is appreciated!

I love this podcast! The folktales are entertaining and the discussions following them do a nice job of delving into serious issues without getting too dry or heavy, and the hosts have a nice rhythm to their banter. Milan is NOT TRANS!!!! She dressed as a man. That doesn’t mean she wanted to be a man. I made it through a few episodes, then quit. They changed their name but it didn’t help. I didn’t even know they ended.
