Trip to the Movie Theater Starts Here!
What happens when you gather some of the best film critics of the Internet age and force them to kill each other to survive? I don't know, probably a mixture of Lady in the Water and Hunger Games, but that's not important. Fighting in the War Room is what happens when you toss them onto a podcast to discuss current cinema and past films and it's awesome. The great ingredient of the show is the lack of unanimous agreement, this isn't fifty minutes of everyone agreeing with each other and compliments flying to boost egos. Nor is it a font of acrimonious dialogue which might make one reach for ear cleaner after an episode, it's honest and civil disagreements. Different perspectives are given, which make the listening experience more enjoyable, as it's more to mentally chew on. At the end of each episode, you are more prepared to decide what movie to go see or benefit from another perspective on movies you may have always seen. In wrap, the reviewers cover current releases and also talk about movies within a theme of the discussion, and either way make for an entertaining listen. I’m addicted! I check every day for new episodes even if I don’t see an update icon. Informed, engaging, and funny panel. Do yourself a favor and add this to your listening diet.

Being all the way in Colorado now, I miss being so close to the movie scene in Los Angeles. This podcast does a great job making you feel like you just watched a flick at a art house and then grabbed a drink afterward to chat about it. Really fun to listen to.
