“Of the ten million film-related podcasts currently being produced, this is at least in the top one thousand, with a varied and engaging mix of reviews, topical film-news analysis, and broad pontification on perennial issues. The four (now five) hosts offer a nicely diverse range of perspectives, and I generally find myself agreeing or disagreeing with each of them in roughly equal measure, though I feel compelled to mention that whenever the discussion turns to superhero movies, David becomes, in my estimation, an American hero. (Da7e, in contrast, becomes history's greatest monster.)
Meanwhile, Katey, to borrow a comparison often applied to the host of another good movie podcast, is the Leonardo of the group, but only with regard to the positive elements of that association (i.e., being a good de facto leader who helps keep things on track) rather than the negative ones (i.e., being the least interesting). Oh, and as long as I'm comparing the hosts to fictional characters, Joanna is Hermione Granger and Patches is Holden Caulfield's dead brother Allie.
