Best podcast for Swift and great for programming in general
I absolutely hated this show when I first listened to it. I was yearning for a deeply educational experience and, you know, who are these two goons, talking about nothing at all? But I soon ran out of Swift Over Coffee episodes, and begrudgingly turned Fireside Swift back on. What a great decision. By my third episode, I was hooked. Zack and Steve truly have a gift for being on the mic. This is both a pleasantly entertaining and surprisingly informative podcast. No, it's not a textbook, and it might not teach you all you need to know about a given topic, but it will teach you what you don’t know about that topic, and contextualize that information so you know where and how to look for more. The ratio of banter to didactic discussion that Zack and Steve strike in Fireside Swift, I find it perfect for my commute, or just a lazy day on the couch. I highly recommend this podcast, and not just for Swift; they do a great job of covering higher level programming theory and strategies as well. If you don’t like it, I encourage you to listen to it until you do. Thanks for the good times and the knowledge, y’all, keep doing what you do.Read full review »
