“Haney and Chris are absolutely hilarious! I love this podcast for so many reasons, but I’ll just list the most important ones here:
- As a long time FF7 fan, I feel like this perfectly captures the first time playing experience I remember. Haney is charming and endearing as he bumbles around in the world that we now know so well. It really harkens back and makes you recall YOUR first time being exposed to FF7. Cue the fond memories!
- Chris’ questions to Haney are insightful and power the dialogue to new heights. I honestly enjoy hearing these two go back and forth. They’ve been friends for 20ish years, so that doesn’t hurt their chemistry, either. I love the thought provoking discussions.
- These two gentlemen are the type of guys you’d want to be friends with IRL. If you let them, they’ll steal your heart right out of your chest. They’re so honest, earnest, and just refreshingly approachable. I tend to support podcasts where I can connect with the hosts and this is one of them.
- Production quality. For being “new to the game”, I’m pretty impressed with what they’ve been able to do already. They seem to really listen to their listeners too, and that’s always a plus.
- It wouldn’t be a podcast without mentioning their voices. They’re not grating, they’re super adorable and easy to listen to, and Chris’ voice impersonations are top-notch (Sorry Haney!)

“Haney & Chris are hilarious. Their run of FF7 was great and Majora’s Mask is going great. Haney is like chaotic neutral personified. Chris is both a straight man as needed and poignantly hilarious.
