The comedy! The drama! I'm obsessed. They tug at the heartstrings and hit the funny bone. I love the glimpses of the people. When I catch up I'm sure I'll start over. I'm intrigued by the British terms and pronunciations. Love!Love!Love! these people.Read full review »

This is the podcast that has shockingly fallen through the cracks. Having been going on for longer than the biggest names, and with more quality content than plenty others, it shocking how it doesn’t have a bigger name for itself. The other reviews say it better, but the world is fully fleshed...Read full review »

Everything about this show is a blast. Jimothy in particular!

I’m on episode 148. Every time Scamp speaks I want to smother them in hugs. I especially love when the group sends to Molly. Just finished Tasbnet’s and Corzin’s duel. My heart is full of joy. Episode 153. Did Celestial just invent mocha? And it was just glossed over. I’m disappointed. Episode...Read full review »

The characters are nuanced, the players are all conscientious and aware of the context of their genre, the DM is of a rare skill both in descriptors and imagination, and the world is both familiar and innovative.

This is the best D&D podcast I’ve ever listened too. Incredible characters and stories with an air of slight mischief, yet at times heart-wrenching, tense, and poignant. The bonus content adds depth and expands the world beautifully. So, so worth a listen!

One of the most unique d&d podcasts out there, with a good blend of lore comedy and action.

Fun show, but wildly inconsistent. Some arcs are great, some are absolute slogs. Just know going in you’ll listen to some 4+ hour episodes that go next to nowhere.

I started listening to this podcast a few months ago, and I love it! The players are very entertaining and their voices are great. I would definitely recommend this podcast and am currently listening to it as much as I can get away with.

The world building may be my favorite part of this podcast. In this campaign, the DM has fully “sold me” on his wondrous world of spirits, pirates, ancient empires, good-ish necromancers, the Regent, and a whole lot more. I love this world of Calcinea. To add to the amazing world, the characters...Read full review »

An amazing podcast with an incredible cast. The world of Calcinea is incredibly well-crafted, the characters are amazing and incredible, and the story is fantastic. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll do a bit of both at the same time. The bonus content is also incredible, and...Read full review »

The fictional history lessons alone are enough for me to binge as many episodes as possible, but add in well fleshed-out characters, excellent music and songs, an environment that can turn on a dime, and a DM just crazy enough to keep it all together with glitter-glue and a hag deal, and you have...Read full review »

From the first episode I knew I had found something special. The DM, Jason, has created a rich and interesting world populated by fascinating NPCs and the players are all so talented and funny. In a world full of D&D 5e podcasts. Flintlocks & Fireballs has found a unique take on the classic system. Set in a Napoleonic style world F&F combines D&D fantasy with classic adventure in the vein of Sharpe and Patrick O’Brien’s Jack Aubrey novels. The roleplaying is excellent,...Read full review »

This podcast might "only" have 34 episodes (plus bonus content) out as of right now, but every episode is 4 hours long. They put out new episodes every week, and honestly, I don't know how they manage it. It's so, so worth it though, because in this time, the story has come so far...Read full review »

I'll admit, the episode length gave me pause. 3-4 hours is a bit daunting for regular listening, but the podcast sounds beautiful and the storytelling is on point. You can't really ask for more than that. -Leks from The GeeklyRead full review »

I really dig this show. I feel like the acting and writing skills of each member really adds to the storytelling moments. The DM doesn’t need to guide as much as most do in the first episode. This show’s cast does a great job of flexing their narrative and acting skills, but still take things lightly and enjoy the fun. Overall, a delight to listen to.
