“I attend a women’s group at church but I don’t go to the services. I’d say I’m spiritual but have a hard time with the religious texts. I’ve been with my husband for 15 years. I didn’t truly realize what had been going on until about two years ago. Several life experiences showed me that my marriage was painful. I was open and compassionate and I got judged, shamed and blamed. And he would get so defensive. Every. Time. There was any kind of conflict, large or small. I was googling to find anything about emotional abuse because I know I’ve been through it. I found this podcast. I’m so grateful because it’s validating everything I’ve experienced- even at the church - and these women MEAN well. They just don’t understand the severity of the emotional abuse I experienced. This podcast does. It has literally covered every topic I could think of (so far) that I want addressed. Keep the podcasts coming please! They are lifesaving. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a podcast so closely - and not zoned out. This is here at the most perfect time for me. Thank you!!!!!”
