Night Terrors of Aqua Khan
I like to listen to this podcast when I go to sleep. Lately I’ve been having a recurring dream. I’m a chief in a small Kazakh village in the year 1180. This year has been a good one, my wife is pregnant with our third child. The fall harvest has filled our grain stores and ensures that the village won’t go hungry this coming winter. One late autumn night, as the dusk sun fades away and the crickets begin to chirp, the distant sound of stampeding horses begins to permeate the otherwise still air. Puzzled, I make my way to the edge of the village and what I see makes my blood run cold. Rumours from distant lands brought to my village by travelling merchants have brought wind of a man who’s roaming the steppes and plains, raping and pillaging every village he comes across. The traders fear him, so when they speak his name, it’s but a breath of a whisper, “Aqua Khan.” I look upon the horizon and see thousands of horses and equally as many torches. They’re speeding towards me. I frantically sound the alarm, but alas, even I can’t fool myself into thinking there’s anything to be done. What comes next can only be described as chaos. People are scrambling to collect their earthly belongings and family members, preparing to make a desperate attempt to outrun the ever approaching army. Before I know it, they’re here. They swarm our village and begin rounding up every villager in the quaint town. As we all settle into a circle in the town square, the army parts, and in rides a man. This, is Aqua Khan. This confirms the fate of my village, we are doomed. Aqua Khan asks who the ruler of our village is, and I slowly raise my hand. He asks me to gather my family, so I beckon towards my wife. As she comes, Aqua dismounts, and approaches her. He hits her and begins freeing her of her garments. I move to defend her, but I know there’s nothing I can do. A mounted archer looses an arrow right as Aqua begins penetrating my wife. It finds the back of my head, and that’s it. My life is extinguished, the last thing I’ll ever see is Aqua Khan raping my wife. After this, I awake with a start. Tears moisten my eyes, my sheets are soaked in piss, I’m at half chub. But then I hear it, Sam’s wheezing laugh. It was all just a terrible dream. 10/10 podcast Pappa Rabbi.

Honestly one of the few podcasts aside from Painkiller Already and JRE that I can listen to and just thoroughly enjoy. I would highly recommend.
